Due to the current corona pandemic and to avoid supply bottlenecks, weekend driving bans for trucks in many European countries has been suspended at least until April 19.

On the following Saturdays 25.7., 1.8., 8.8., 22.8. and 29.8.2020 there is additional driving ban between 07:00 and 19:00 hrs and on the following Sundays between 00:00 and 22:00 hrs for trucks and road trains exceeding 7,5 t gross weight on all roads and for vehicles carrying hazardous goods regardless of the weight as well. (On these Saturdays it is allowed to drive between 19:00 and 24:00 hrs!).
There is an exception of the Sundays and public holidays driving ban regarding the driving to/from Port of Calais (the so-called Corridor de Ghyvelde). It includes exclusively A 16 from Calais to Belgium (border De Panne) and return, but not A 26 nor A 27. This exception is not valid for transport of hazardous goods. This exception in valid in both directions for vehicles traveling between the United Kingdom and Belgium (it means international traffic that actually use the ferry).
General driving ban on Saturdays as well the day before a public holiday from 22:00 till 22:00 hrs on Sundays or the holiday itself for vehicles exceeding 7,5 t grossweight on all roads. As well as on Saturdays (which are public holidays) and on Sundays before a public holiday from 00:00 till 24:00 hrs.
NEW! The driving ban on Sundays for vehicles exceeding 7,5 t gross vehicle weight has been temporarily suspended. It applies only to durable foods and hygiene products. It applies to the federal states: Bayern (till 30. May 2020), Nordrhein-Westfalen (till 30. May 2020), Niedersachsen (till 30. May 2020), Rheinland-Pfalz (till 30. May 2020), Sachsen (till beginning of April), Schleswig-Holstein (till 30. May 2020).

Driving ban on Saturdays starting from 1.7. till 31.8. between 07:00 and 20:00 hrs for vehicles exceeding 7,5 t gross weight and for road trains on high traffic motorways and trunk roads in both directions.
General driving ban on Sundays and public holidays between 00:00 and 22:00 hrs for vehicles exceeding 7,5 t gross weight and for road trains on all roads.
Driving ban year-long for vehicles exceeding 7,5 t gross weight on the National road DN 1 (E 60) on sections Otopeni – Ploiesti and Ploiesti – Brasov in both directions: from Monday until Thursday between 06:00 and 22:00 hrs; Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays between 00:00 and 24:00 hrs.
Various driving bans for vehicles exceeding 7,5 t gross weight on all public holidays as well as on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 1.7. until 31.8. on certain sections on A2 (over 3,5 t), DN 7, DN 39, DN 22 C.
High-temperature-related driving bans: starting from 01.07. temporary driving bans for areas, for which the national meteorological administration has pronounced red and orange warning code.
Between 10:00 and 21:00 hrs for vehicles exceeding 7,5 t gross weight on all motorways and National roads in the following Romanian regions: Mehedinţi, Gorj, Valcea, Dolj, Olt, Argeş, Teleorman, Giurgiu, Ilfov, Dâmboviţa, Prahova, Braşov, Covasna, Buzău, Ialomiţa, Călăraşi, Constanţa, Tulcea, Braila, Galaţi, Vrancea, Bacău, Vaslui, Neamţ , Suceava and Botosani.
