With a holistic and sustainable approach, we help to secure the social standards of all stakeholders, create new workplaces in Europe, promote climate protection and not lose sight of the economic aspects. In doing so, LKW WALTER sees itself as a leading partner for the sustainable organisation of full truck load transports in Europe, by road and in Combined Transport.

LKW WALTER supports the Paris Agreement and the objectives of the European Commission in line with the "GREEN DEAL". We are also committed to the globally recognised Science Based Target Initiative (SBTi), which will be a highly visible beacon on this challenging path.

It is one of our corporate goals to comprehensively protect the environment in all business operations.

On our way to becoming the leading European provider of sustainable transport solutions, we have set ourselves clear goals: reduce our CO₂ footprint by 30 percent by 2030, based upon 2023. By 2040, we want to achieve a 70 percent reduction in order to reach Net Zero by 2045.

We are aware that we cannot implement this transformation alone. That is why we will consistently work on these ambitious goals together with our customers, transport partners and their drivers, as well as rail and ferry partners and everyone supporting us along the supply chain.

Sustainability and environmental protection are among the current key topics in society, the economy and of course in the transport industry. At LKW WALTER these topics are not just trendy buzz words but a reality achieved over recent decades. Nowadays, LKW WALTER is among the leading companies in Europe that offer environmentally friendly transport solutions - with a CO₂ reduction of over 341,501 tonnes per year.

The reduction of carbon dioxide emissions in the transport industry is one of the most important tasks in the coming years. LKW WALTER has been facing this challenge since the eighties and will continue this commitment undeterred in order to achieve the ambitious climate goals. Our 2030 action plan is based on 5 initiatives, from which a large number of measures are derived.

Our action plan ensures the expansion and further development of our GREEN transport solutions. In the coming years, LKW WALTER will focus on developing a comprehensive network of Green Corridors - Combined Transport and the use of vehicles with alternative fuels and alternative powerdrives provide the basis for this.
